In the Bag!
Well, Our very first Pushups for charity event is wrapped up and in the bag. We had some terrific Silent Auction items that were generously donated by area businesses that helped add $600.00 to our overall total. In all we had 12 people come ‘PUSH’ did 779 pushups in 90 seconds and we raised $3365.00 for the Boot Campaign.
A big Thank You to Michael Anthony Smith from the Rivver 97.3 for stepping in at the last minute to MC for us and really make it an event. (We loved how you heckled the people driving past to get them to stop and take a look.) Our Photographer Jackie and our Videographer Ryan who recorded the all the action as it unfolded. Karen and Patsy for running around and keeping things humming along with whatever else needed done. and finally, our spectators who came out to support us and cheer us on and make us push that much harder.
It was an honor to be a part of something so important. Impacting the lives of service men and women who have given so much…I cannot think of anyone or anything more deserving of our gratitude and our help.
